Bake

In selecting the oven bake operation, the circuitry provides full power to the baking element anti some power to the broil element. Then preheating the oven, the indicator light turns on anti remains on until the oven is preheated to the selected temperature. Preheating the oven will take about 12 to 15 minutes. When the light goes out, the oven is ready for use. Preheating is recommended when baking, but is not necessary for roasting or cooking casseroles. The oven indicator cycles on and off with the bake heating element showing that the desired oven temperature is being maintained. Some models are not equipped with an oven indicator.

Timed Bake

The limed bake selection allows the user to start the baking operation immediately (or delayed) and to stop after a selected length of cooking time.

Self-Cleaning

The pyrolytic method of cleaning raises the oven temperature to approximately v 900'F, carbonizing the food particles resulting in a small amount of white-colored ash on the oven liner, which can easily be wiped out with a wet cloth when the oven is cool. In setting the self-cleaning operation, remove the broil pan and cooking utensils, remove the oven racks, close the oven door, and set the clock, thermostat, and selector switch, or program the oven controller. The oven door will automatically lock and begin heating. The oven requires about 60 minutes reaching 900. The cycle may be interrupted at any time before the oven lock indicator light turns on. Once the lock light is on, the oven requires a cool-down period before the oven door can be opened.

Oven Vent

The oven is vented on top of the control panel trim. When the oven is on, warm air is released from the oven through the unit. This venting is necessary for proper air circulation in the oven and good cooking results. Do not block this vent opening.

Electronic Timer Control

An electronic tinier control (EOC) controls the timing functions of Time of Day, Timed Bake, and Clean Time. Some products are not equipped with all of the above features. Consult the owner's manual or the feature listing for the model being serviced. The Time of Day are set with the same control. The timer does not start or stop the cooking process. It simply serves as a timer that buzzes when the set time has run out.
Note: A glowing arrow indicates which function is being shown in the display window. A flashing arrow indicates that a particular time4unction has been set, but is not being shown in the display window. To check a set time function, touch the button below the flashing arrow. The set time will appear in the display window.
